Meet Your Neighbor, Robert!
Will you help create hope for homeowners like him?

Coyote Creek Flooding 3: Rebuilding Communities
Meet Lam and Chay Phillip, Flood Survivors.
At this point, RTSV had been out to Golden Wheel Mobile Home Park to assess the damage, brought Bank of America and Google together to sponsor the repairs, and worked to build trust with the residents by communicating through interpreters.
Coyote Creek Flooding 2: When Will Work Begin?
Flood survivors taught RTSV how to listen.
After RTSV became involved with repairing Golden Wheel Mobile Home Park, we needed to secure resources and funding to get our work started. After assessing the damage in the park, our technicians reported that 40 homes in the park needed repair work and since many of the homeowners did not have flood insurance, they were not going to be able to afford repairs on their own.
Coyote Creek Flooding 1: Backstory
A look into how the flood in 2017 affected mobile homes.
Back in 2017, Executive Director Deanne Everton was on a hike with a friend around Lake Anderson in Morgan Hill and was struck by the amount of water rushing out of an irrigation pipe into Coyote Creek. She recalls that “It was as if someone turned on a faucet at full speed…” and was so striking that many people came to see the pipe while she was there. “No one could have predicted how that much water would affect the communities laid along Coyote Creek,” she added.

RTSV and NetApp Build Desks for Children of Essential Workers
The world looks a bit different now as vaccinations have become easier to schedule and mask mandates are changing. We’re moving in the right direction to a more positive place than we all were not even a year ago and when we look back at how far we’ve come, it becomes clear that our community is not afraid of challenges and stepping up to help support the people who need it most.

Meet Your Neighbor, Neal!
Have you said hello yet?
May is Affordable Housing Month as well as Jewish Heritage Month and as an organization that embraces all of our neighbors, we want to celebrate with the story of Neal, a member of our community whom we met during Fall 2020 Rebuilding Day.
RTSV’s 30 for 30: Part 1
Let’s Go Back to the Beginning! Welcome to our first RTSV’s 30 for 30 Blog Post.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley’s life changing work. We began in 1991 as an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, originally known as Christmas in April which started in 1973 when a small group of women in construction in Midland, Texas, realized a growing need in their community for repairs of homes that had fallen into despair.
