DEI COMMITMENT

RTSV is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion with our active DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Task Force. Take a look below at how RTSV plans to include DEI in our organization.
DEI STATEMENT

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley’s mission is repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives furthered by our vision, safe homes and communities for everyone. At RTSV, everyone means just that: anyone regardless of ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
DEI WORK AND TASK FORCE

Recognizing that injustices exist is not enough. In our continued effort to move forward with DEI, we have established our DEI Task Force.
Our DEI Task Force consists of staff and board members with the goal of creating a safe space to explore our own implicit biases while at the same time evaluating the work and structure of RTSV and how we can overcome systemic barriers and best serve the community.

JOIN THE DEI TASK FORCE
The DEI Task Force’s main goal is to drive RTSV to become a fully inclusive, equitable organization. Our DEI Task Force hopes to accomplish this by focusing on 3 main objectives:
- Learn about and put DEI concepts into practice
- Evaluate RTSV Diversity
- Consider how our mission interfaces with racial inequity and wealth inequality in the communities we serve
These three objectives are further divided into detailed actions, all of which come together so that our DEI Task Force ensure that each of the smaller objectives are met and RTSV is on track to achieve our overarching main goal.

As it stands now, the DEI Task Force is made of both staff and board members. Our next step is to include more voices on our DEI Task Force to better represent the community we serve.
