For many of our neighbors, essential home repairs simply aren’t an option. They may have to choose between paying for food or medication and fixing a broken water heater, restoring heat, or addressing an unsafe condition in their home.
In May, RTSV served an elderly veteran living alone with Stage IV cancer. With limited income and no nearby family to help, she had no way to afford the repairs her home needed.
Thanks to a generous sponsor and a dedicated team of volunteers, RTSV was able to step in. The repairs made her home safer and more comfortable—and brought her enormous gratitude and joy during an incredibly difficult time.
