Paint The Town Fundraiser Tickets

Cung

Our fundraiser supports neighbors like Cung and her family who after surviving the tragedies of the Vietnam War and post war reeducation camps, were sponsored to migrate to the U.S. where they settled in San Jose in 1980. While loving their life in California, they have struggled to make ends meet and balance increased medical costs with the maintenance needs of their home. RTSV was able to assist with these critical needs to alleviate this undue burden making their house a safer and healthier place for Cung and her family to call home.

J. Herrell

Our fundraiser supports neighbors like Jean. With their daughter and adopted son in tow, Jean and her husband moved to San Jose in 1968 following her husbands honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. Jean has lived alone and managed the household on her own since her husbands sad passing 1989. She has a love for volunteering any and everywhere her community needs her. Unfortunately, a severe back injury made an already stressful situation harder. RTSV was proud to provide safety and mobility modifications to Jean’s home to ensure she could remain independent and safe in her home for years to come.

Rose

Your donations directly support neighbors like Rose. Born and raised in what was once known as “Goosetown” and is present day Willow Glen. She married her Naval Veteran husband and raised their family both working tirelessly in civil service. After losing her husband at the young age of 68, Rose took to caring for their garden and home on her own. Although rheumatoid arthritis and changes in her mobility as she has gotten older have made it more difficult for her to care for her home on her own, Rose still regards what she and her late husband had as a castle. RTSV is proud to have provided Rose the necessary repairs to keep her home her castle.

A Virtual Event

In honor of our 30th Anniversary, Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley will celebrate over 4,500 projects completed, 50,000 life changing repairs and over 400,000 hours of volunteer work. We also hope to underscore the ever-growing needs of our most vulnerable community members. Every $1 raised at Paint The Town Green will be doubled, thanks to our generous anonymous match!

Over the past year, especially, we have seen our older adults and medically fragile become more isolated than ever. We have seen inequities among our underserved communities grow exponentially. We have seen our homes, which are meant to be our sanctuaries, fall deeper and deeper in disrepair around us.

At Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley our vision is a safe place to call home for everyone. And we make it our mission to provide just that.

Join us on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 6:00 pm for an online event hosted by our Honorary Chairs, Andy and Joselle Kryder. Our program will showcase our life-changing mission, celebrate our community, feature a live fund-a-need, and more

Double your impact today! For every $1 given = $2 raised and Together, Let’s Paint The Town, Green!
